San Lucas Tolimán sits at the feet of volcanos Atitlán and Tolimán, at the southeastern point of Lake Atitlán in the western highlands of Guatemala.  I had the honor of spending nine months in San Lucas, developing friendships and discovering the projects conducted through the Catholic mission there, Parroquia San Lucas.

While in San Lucas, I wrote a book, Simply Grateful.  In it are explorations of the history and culture of San Lucas as well as my own experiences with its people.

Introducing Liberación, the benefit CD from and for San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala. This CD features the voices of 600 Guatemalan children, led in song by five notable musicians from both the United States and Guatemala, singing Latin American songs of devotion, justice and peace. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this disc will directly benefit the children, school, church & community of San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala.

Liberación presents 20 beautiful songs, accompanied by a 28 page full-color booklet, which includes the Spanish lyrics and their English translations, as well as many vivid photos of the children, community and landscape of San Lucas. With each song, you will hear and feel the joy and hope in the children’s voices, as they welcome you into their village, their culture and their hearts.
